well i didn't end up playing michael jackson's smooth criminal on my show this week, but i did play a couple songs from off the wall because they were funky! (and i couldn't find my record of bad and my brother's thriller record was in terrible condition). so then i also played some james brown and some kool & the gang. a listener, mike, called in to tell me that there is a great video of michael jackson, james brown, and prince performing spontaneously together. here it is:
