I decided to play a lot of dance music in the second hour and I didn't have many commercials to interrupt it, so that was a fun hour. Thanks to Mel and Reed for calling in during that hour, and to my friend Jim aka "Blind Guy" for calling earlier.

Here's a link to the video of the Bollywood song I played! Such a funny movie...

One other funny thing, at the end of the show someone called in to complain that I played a song that said "nigga nigga nigga" in it. I was sure that wasn't true, but I certainly own a lot of songs with that word in them, and i could've just missed it, so i wasn't 100% sure. but i finally realized it was "mega mega..." from Born Slippy, LOL

Aaaaargh, I had many problems with the CD players today. One skips and occasionally just fails to even load a CD. Another takes some massing of the Play button to get it started, IF that even works. If you listened, you may have heard some major dead-air time. Sorry!

The good news is that lots of cool people called in to let me know they liked the music. John, Joy, Thomas, John, Teresa, Gabriel, and more. Thanks everyone! John and John requested Nina Simone and Frank Zappa. I'll try to play both next week.

No more capital letters, too much work :-)

I started to tell this story on the air, but never finished it....The station got a call from the PR company of Emmy-winning actor Gary Sinese on Tuesday. He's doing a show with his band (Lt. Dan Band) in KC on Friday, so they wanted to see if we wanted to do a promo interview. The only time he had available was during my show, LOL. So I said okay, did a little research, came up with some questions, and then it got cancelled, LOL. Oh well, it was fun to think about for a day anyway.

But I did get to give away my first concert tickets this week, to the Sia show on Monday. Congratulations to winners Vince and Nicole! And thanks to Rita, Ellie, and Blind Guy for calling in too.

I discovered this week that the EuroHit 40 is NOT censored. Luckily I found this out before playing it on the air! There was the F word, in a song by Pink. So who knows if all the foreign language songs are clean either? So unfortunately, no more EuroHit40. I'll miss the foreign songs, but not many of the American ones.

Congrats to Dave, Chip, and Jerry Lynn for calling in with the "Sanford & Son" answer. And thanks to Bruno for recommending Vangelis. I already ordered some and hope to play it next week.
