by request of richard russell, i played "i wish (i was a little bit taller)" from a krafty kuts mix cd that i love. and the song before it on the cd was great, so i played that. and some 80's reggae: shinehead! in college i had that shinehead album on one side of a tape with kool moe dee's "knowledge is king" on the other. i played the heck out of that tape. just finally got the shinehead cd.

i also played the ghandi song by mc yogi, from northern california. here's a video of him performing it at a ghandi camp (ghandi camp?!?!?)

today was my pledge drive show. thanks to everyone who called in with pledges! i didn't get as much as i was hoping for, but it looks like this pledge drive is going slowly and that's been true for many people. i had 5 good electronic cd's to give away for $60 pledges, but only had one taker. he chose Verve Remixed.

i got a great new indian hip-hop cd last week by "mc yogi". most all of his songs revolve around the hindu god ganesh, who is an elephant. so the cd is called "elephant power". its both amusing and good music. one song is called "ganesh is fresh", LOL

also had damon alburn's new project: monkey. some fabric live stuff, and a euro hit 40 that included madonna's new song, "give it 2 me", co-produced by Pharell. I love it! I'd say the video is not one of her better ones, pretty boring by her standards. But here it is:
